Shaun Philips, a football player of the San Diego Chargers, is the leader of an organization called, "After School All Stars." The program is intended to improve kid's lives by nurturing their mind, bodies, and spirits by programs that incorporate independent learning, academics and enrichment activities. The football also has another foundation called "Sack Attack" where everytime he makes a sack he donates 1,000 dollars to a charity.

Retired soccer player, Michelle Akers, retired nine years ago, and is now rescuing horses as a living. She traded her Florida home for an eight-acre spread in Northwest Atlanta. Michelle believes that it is a crime to abuse horses, so she established this charity as a way to stop the abuse of horses. The commitment of the foundation is to protect, heal, and provide a happy home for hurting, unwanted and problem horses.
