The foundation was started in 1994 by Thomas Rollerson and it was to honor the memory of Timothy Scott Palmer. Dream Foundation's mission is to "enhance the quality of life for individuals and their families during the end of life's journey." It also helps adults find peace and make a final wish. The foundation is the first and largest national wish-granting program for adults with life-limiting illness.

The goal of this group is to serve children and families coping with cancer abd other life threatening diseases. The program is intended to improve kid's lives by nurturing their mind, bodies, and spirits by programs that incorporate independent learning, academics and enrichment activities. Retired soccer player, Michelle Akers, retired nine years ago, and is now rescuing horses as a living. She traded her Florida home for an eight-acre spread in Northwest Atlanta. Michelle believes that it is a crime to abuse horses, so she established this charity as a way to stop the abuse of horses. The commitment of the foundation is to protect, heal, and provide a happy home for hurting, unwanted and problem horses.

Nick Jonas supports diabetes and also has the disease. The Jonas Brothers have a foundation called "Change For the Children Foundation." One of their branches from of the foundation is called D-Vision. D-Division's goal is to support people with diabetes by raising funds that bring awareness, conduct research, and find a cure to diabetes.

Miley Cyrus is a proud supporter of the Make A Wish Foundation for children with diseases. Just recently, a little girl named Angelica Lemburg who has Cystic Fibrosis got to bring her mom and best friend with her to meet Miley Cyrus. Their day started with being picked up in a limo and then being driven in to the studio to see a tapping of one of the Hannah Montana episodes. Everyone agreed that Miley and the whole cast was very friends, repsectiful, and made them feel like they were at home. It would be almost every girl's dream to meet Miley Cyrus and Miley did an amaxing thing by letting that come true for one girl.

Disney came out with a new project called Friends for Change:Project Green. It invites yong children from everywhere to come out and help the enviroment with climate, water, waste, and habitiats. Disney donated 1 million dollars to the enviroment and the kids participating in Friends For Change will get to vote on how they want to spend the money. Disney wants kids to pledge to make small changes in their everyday routines and with that, together they will make a differenve in the world.

"To Right Love On Her Arms" is a foundation that bands and other companies support. A myspace page followed their organization and bands and other complaies started supporting them and wearing their t-shirts. It all srated in an effort to help oner person overcome depression, and now the organization has turned into a movement that aims to reduce the number of suicides in the world.
